What a pack of wooses are those who follow like sheep the reactionary and pathetic shallow view that governments should not review the recommendations of scientific panels on the matter of who uses what drugs in Australia.

A very symbolic day in parliament of Australia it is hard to imagine. The debate is not about RU486, or even the administration of death inducing drugs. but about the wooosiness of the majority of those in parliament. They want to give up their power in order perhaps to prove they have some . It sounds more like short trem gain and long trem pain . As atestimony against those not in powwer , all not so many years ago both parties recognised the need for such power. Point scoring on the basis of half rational arguments was all we heard in hansard .

TOGGLING The BIG NEWS IS THAT The majority are quite prepared to give their power away. Paradoxicaly that s all the vote means ---we want to show that we actually have some power -----but really we admit defeat.

As if we scientists want all the responsibility put on us in such difficult clearly political ( if they want power) decisions.
